Kuang Si Falls (also known as Tat Kuang Si) is one of Laos' most iconic natural wonders, located roughly 29 kilometers south of Luang Prabang. Nestled within a dense, emerald rainforest, this stunning multi-tiered cascade drops from a main 60-meter high waterfall into a series of shallow, brilliant turquoise travertine pools before flowing downstream.The signature turquoise-blue color of the water is created by dissolved calcium carbonate washed down from the surrounding limestone hills.
